An Industrial Engineer by profession, I began painting while recuperating from a serious illness. With no formal art training, using acrylic as a medium, I began to put my impressions onto canvas. Over time I have developed a free and interpretive style which I have applied to a variety of subjects ranging from jazz and orchestral  musicians to floral arrangements and nature’s majesty. 
Several of my more recent works are presented here for the pleasure and interest of viewers who have taken the time to visit the site. These and many others are available for a more “in depth” viewing by any interested party. 
My works presently form a part of collections in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Stowe, Miami and Denver and until recently I had elected to offer my works on a limited basis. The great interest exhibited by those who have seen my offerings has persuaded me to seek a wider distribution for them – hence this site – and the new works. 
My paintings are identified using a lifelong nickname “SHEA”. In this manner I can differentiate between my artistic accomplishments and my engineering and business endeavors so that the two are not confusing to those who know of  my earlier successes.
