Roslyn Spivak always enjoyed a strong reputation for painting Montreal street scenes, the Montreal of her childhood.  Older parts of the city are her preferred subjects; she enjoys exploring the unique winding staircases, stained glass inserts and beautiful brickwork.

Her paintings are rich with the juxtaposition of modern life on the history of the city.  She communicates the joys of a simple existence that spring from her own strong emotional ties and memories, employing acrylic paints to capture the vividness of the colours of every day life.

Many clients have commissioned her to paint their childhood homes, and places of interest. Her paintings are in personal collections, businesses and organizations internationally.

She received an Honourable Mentions at Place D'Arts, Montreal, from Le Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Quebec, from Deerfield, Florida Art Show also an Award of Excellence from Mountain Lake Television.

Her paintings have been displayed at juried shows at the Laval Jewish Community Centre, the Arts Club of Montreal, the Walter Klinkhoff Gallery, McGill University, Mountain Lake Public Broadcasting/WCFE-TV, Arts Auction 57, Le Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Quebec (Olympic Stadium), Tutor Hall in Oglivy's, Le Festival de Peinture a Mascouche, Association of Jewish Artists, Deerfield Art Show in Florida, Nashville, Tenn. and Savannah, Georgia.

Roz has appeared as a guest artist on Channel 9 T.V., Montreal, Que. displaying her paintings on "Painting For Fun" and had a successful solo show at Galerie Schorer.  As a member of the Women’ Art Society, and Jewish Artists Association, she enjoys a strong reputation for high quality art.

Her work was also featured in shows at the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre, The Sayde Bronfman Centre, Hotel Des Gouvenors, Laval, Quebec and Maison d'Art, Laval. Other displays included Royal Trust Company in Chomedey, Laval, and Salon des Designers Spectra de Ville St. Laurent.
