 Terry Cohen, who is a teacher by profession, began her career in the art world by taking private jewelry lessons with renowned jeweler Gloria Bass. After making original pieces for many years, she changed her focus to the art of Calligraphy. She learned the fine art of decorative lettering, later teaching both children and adults the joys of creating personalized art using calligraphy at the “Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts” in Montreal, Canada.

Terry then took to working with computers to manipulate alphabets to form imaginative and original text, and creative cards. Interesting text designs, followed.
  
She became interested in how using both photography and her computer skills, pictures of ordinary objects in nature can be changed to create entirely new interpretations. 
        
Not only does she have a desire to paint with her camera, she relies on the composition of the original photographs, inspiration, and  today’s sophisticated digital effects programs to create new interpretations of photographs.
