Why did I become an artist?

“I don’t think you have any choice in the matter after a point. The door into art is destiny-driven,
but the door out of it is microscopic. There is no choice.”

Mr. Serra recently said it for me. Sketching in elementary school in Scranton PA, winning a prize 
in high school, it seems that I indeed, have not had a choice. When the media I have been 
working with is not available, I’ve easily picked up something to weave, handmade paper to experiment with, a gourd to inciseand decorate, clay to hand build a pot, a camera and macrophotography. Graphic design lead me to the computer and digital art was an easy transition. Creating is my sustenance !
